Adopting a person-centered approach, Chris believes that the therapeutic relationship and alliance is an important foundation to build with every client. Creating a safe and trusting environment, Chris works with clients and adopts an integrative approach drawing upon the principles and theories of cognitive-behavioral therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, and schema therapy.
Chris sees himself as a ‘fellow traveler’ along with clients on the journey of life, and endeavors to work alongside clients to make things better, a little at a time. He believes in the importance of positive mental health and that efforts towards mental wellness need to go beyond just treating mental health problems.
